Pavao Quartet to play Eric Starr composition in Poole, England

Billed as, An Impromptu Affair, on Sun 24 Feb 2008, 3PM at the Lighthouse Event Centre concert hall, Eric’s music will share the bill with Dvorak, Mozart, and Peter Warlock. The Pavao Quartet with renowned UK saxophonist Iain Ballamy will play The Stones of Carnac, a composition that Starr wrote with Iain in mind. “I’ve been a fan of Iain’s music since 1987. He has the innate ability to push the often self-imposed boundaries of genre and style creating his own new musical syntax rooted in rich and complex melodies. The Stones of Carnac exists within this lexicon yet the substrate image is fundamentally based in the orchestration of a string quartet.” More »
